Moebius: Transe-Forme @ Fondation Cartier, Paris
Ok so this is something of a re-post lifted from the excellent designboom.com.
Re-posting content in such verbatim fashion is something In which I tend to shy away from, but since it concerns quite possibly the worlds premier Sci-Fi Illustrator I’ve made an exception!
We are of course talking of French comic artist/legend Jean Giraud, better known as Moebius and this article relates to his current exhibition “Transe-Forme” which is running now at Fondation Cartier in Paris until Saturday the 13th March, 2011. So as of time posting you have roughly a month too experience it.

I remember reading some of his stuff years ago, but haven’t found much in Canada lately…

Wow! I wish I could see it too!!!! Amazing exhibition.
But at least I bought a copy of the exhibition catalogue, (http://fondation.cartier.com/?_lang=en&small=0&i=143832) … it´s huge!
Phenomenal stuff. Wonderful art, amazing exhibition.
The exhibition does indeed look amazing. Mildly envious of French culture being able to confidently stage such expansive exhibitions on comic book artists/illustrators in the same way as it would fine artists.
Any tips out there on where to start with picking up affordable english-language collections of Moebius’s work?
