An interesting image, the top figure looks like an early experiment in computer animation, artist unknown sorry.

This retro Moon Rocket (or missile?) is a classy demonstration in three point perspective rendering. Art by Bruce Pennington, used for Robert A. Heinlein Book “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress”.

X2 Vintage Low Palette Sci-fi Book Covers, Artists unknown, although they could be the same person as the drawing styles are close, I’m guessing these are from the 50’s or early 60’s. The lower image has a resemblance to the Imperial costumes from StarWars, most specifically a similarity with those worn by the gunner crews on the Death Star.
Images sourced via http://www.coverbrowser.com great resource, shame about the over eager Jpg compression !
A Spanish cover for the Brian Aldiss Book “The Dark Light Years” produced by Artist Salinas Blanch, whom I confess to know nothing about, other than the fact this style rocks! I came across this piece at Flickr user Dinocefalco’s set: portados (cover’s) http://flickr.com/photos/dinocefalo/sets/72157594521479375/
F15 Fighter Jets soaring through the clouds and some gratuitous nudity feature on the cover of “Airflow” Philip Castle’s portfolio book published 1980. A design harking back to the tradition of beautiful & scantly clad ladies painted on the noses of WW2 American Bombers.
