You'll like the work of Australian artist Patricia Piccinini, especially her last show:

http://www.roslynoxley9.com.au/artists/31/Patricia_Piccinini/1124/

Much of her work is sci-fi related. She also has her own website:

http://www.drome.com.au/

Check out the work of her partner Peter Hennessy at the same site, "My Moon Landing" etc. Great stuff.

PS - love your blog, a great resource!
