Two magazine covers dating from the 70’s – these alien worlds were painted by Kazuaki Saito for the long running Japanese publication “SF Magazine”.

    The second illustration is similar to “Neonn Genesis Evangelion” aliens (famous SF japan anime: huge aliens with abstract designs).

  4. Hey, no worries for the link Draw – cheers for suggesting Saito’s work in the first place…..

    Yeap it’s super-cool stuff….. I think the bright backgrounds are great – looks like Bleach on ink! or similar – Great Colours anyway.

    Even though these date from 1971 I’d never tag them retro as they still look so fresh!
