Phillippe Druillet - Lone Sloane / Delirius - Cover Art

Ok so dovetailing into the previous post, here we have a sample from the portfolio of one of ‘Metal Hurlant’s’ founding members – French Comic Book legend Phillippe Druillet. This Illustration is cropped from a full page feature advertising two of his signature strips “Lone Sloane & Delirius”.

Image again comes via Flickr user jl.incrowd and his superb collection of original scan’s: “Heavy Metal Memories: Turning the pages, 1977 – 1981 (Set)” Do check that out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jl-incrowd/2455581417/in/set-72157604843541927/

  5. Hey Tom,

Cheers for the Comments ! :)

And thanks for the Nasa Link – I’ve seen those pop up on FFFFound.com in the past, but never as a full Set so that’s a great link – anyway it’s quite a coincidence you commented on those now as someone else has just emailed with asking who one of the artist’s is! – This chap did some of the work I believe: http://www.donaldedavis.com/

Oh yeah a link on thingsmagazine.net – cool! – guess that I have FFFFound to thanks for much of sci-fi-o-rama’s initial coverage – having linked work featured there is definitely an excellent way for a Art/Design/Creative Blog to gain traction…. I’ve read some miced opinion’s on FFFFound recently – personally I still think it’s great, in fact I have it set as my home page in Firefox…..
