Dan McPharlin – Land of the Sleeping Things

Oct 24th, 2008 | Categories: Art | Dan McPharlin | Illustration | Sci-Fi

A sample from the portfolio of contemporary Australian Artist and Illustrator Dan McPharlin, muted and subtle colouring create a very other worldly atmosphere and I think its fair to say the art rendered is as competent as any other example featured on Sci-Fi-O-Rama. Dan has contacted me directly via the blog, and to be honest I was pretty much blown away with his work. In addition to this Roger Dean-esque misty illustration he’s capable of several other style’s including some superb cardboard engineering…. I remember running across this guy on Flickr some time ago, really liked his stuff! Very cool, modern, but with that classic Roger Dean feeling.
